Body piercing has come a long way since it was first being used. More and more people are getting different body parts pierced to either show people or simply for pleasure. There are many different areas where body piercing can be done. The most common place for a piercing is the ear. There are many different piercings you can do in the ear alone. You can pierce you ear from the bottom of the lobe to the top of the cartilage area and everything in between. There are also many different places on the face that can be pierced. The eyebrows, lips, nose and even cheeks can be pierced. The ones that are on the outside of the face are more for showing. The ones on the inside of the mouth are more for pleasure. If you think you can stick a needle through a certain area on your body, you can more than likely pierce it with a piece of jewelry. Another popular are to get pierced is the belly button. Most young girls will get this piercing when they are in high school to show it off to their friends.
Risks of Body Piercing
Any body piercing will come along with a list of risks. These risks can be very small and minute or large. These can range from a small infection to your body rejecting the piece of jewelry. When your body rejects the piercing, it will literally push the piece of jewelry out of your skin. It will not be a pleasant feeling but it does unfortunately happen. If you get an infection, you will be able to use different alcohols and antibiotic creams to get rid of the infection in no time. There will always be some redness, soreness and possible bleeding with just about every piercing there is. You are poking a hole into your skin so it will definitely hurt a little.
